Snow Removal in Roseville, MI

D&J Contracting is Roseville’s local choice for commercial Snow Removal. We bring 38 years in Southeast Michigan and plan each site around plow routes, ice control, and stacking areas that keep lots usable and protect pavement edges.

Our crews work with the site layout, not against it. That means cleaner access, fewer curb strikes, and less spring damage on properties that have to stay open through winter.

We stay on commercial properties across Roseville all winter, keeping drives, stalls, loading areas, and pedestrian routes open through repeated storm cycles. Use the map and project pins below to review recent work and see how we handle real site conditions, from snow storage to drainage pinch points and tight turning areas.

Commercial Properties We Service in Roseville

We plan winter work around how each site moves, where people walk, and how meltwater refreezes after the plow leaves. In Roseville, that means different tactics for each property type, because access, liability, and traffic load change from one lot to the next.

  • Retail Centers & Plazas, keep stalls, curb ramps, and ADA routes open so customers can enter safely and tenants do not lose morning traffic at the doors.
  • Industrial Parks & Warehouses, maintain dock lanes, trailer paths, and truck aprons so heavy loads can move without ruts, drift buildup, or blocked freight access.
  • HOAs & Multi-Family Complexes, clear drives, mail areas, and pedestrian walks in a set order so residents can travel safely and snow does not stack into parking that is already tight.
  • Municipal & Institutional Facilities, keep entrances, fire lanes, and public walkways open so staff, visitors, and emergency access stay functional under repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Built for Michigan Weather: Our Roseville Snow Removal Standards

Our Snow Removal holds up longer in Roseville because we treat winter cleanup as a drainage and load-support problem, not just a plow pass. We keep meltwater moving away from curb lines, dock aprons, and low spots so it does not soak the edge of the pavement, freeze again, and start the breakage cycle. We also pay attention to the sub-base under the travel lanes, since weak support turns a normal thaw into settlement, heaving, and early patch work. On top of that, we use methods that fit Michigan freeze-thaw cycles instead of fighting them. That saves property managers money because it delays the repairs that usually show up after a bad winter and keeps small surface issues from turning into bigger structural ones.

  • Drainage first: We clear paths where water naturally wants to sit, so it drains off before it freezes at entrances or along pavement edges.
  • Base support: We protect the sub-base under high-traffic areas, which helps prevent settlement and keeps spring repairs from stacking up.
  • Freeze-thaw fit: We work with weather swings common in Macomb County, so repeated thawing does less damage to concrete joints, asphalt edges, and curb lines.

Common Snow Removal Projects We Handle in Roseville

  • Retail centers near Gratiot and 12 Mile usually need a first push before opening, then a return pass after the lunch rush. We clear main drives, cart corrals, curb ramps, and crosswalks in sequence, then place snow where it does not choke stall count or throw meltwater back to the entry doors.
  • Industrial yards along 13 Mile and Little Mack need dock lanes kept open even after windrows harden at the trailer line. We cut back packed snow at the apron, keep fire access clear, and treat low spots before they turn into refreeze strips that slow forklifts and delivery trucks.
  • Medical offices and service plazas across Roseville need ADA routes that stay usable through repeated traffic and thaw cycles. We open accessible stalls first, clear ramp edges to full width, and manage salt placement so slush does not build up at curb cuts or create slick spots by the walkways.

In-House Crews & Equipment for Roseville Projects

Our Roseville winter work stays in house from the first push to the last salt check. We send our own fully insured W2 crews and company-owned heavy equipment, and we do not hand routes to subcontractors, which keeps the plow order tight, the schedule predictable, and accountability direct for the property manager when a lot needs to be opened, cleaned up, or corrected.

D&J did a great job on our facility parking lot when we were in need of some asphalt catch basin repairs. They were professional, accommodating to our traffic needs, quick and thorough with the repairs, and back promptly after a week to retrieve their barriers. Their quote process was easy, and their pricing was incredibly reasonable for the work done. We are very pleased with D&J and recommend them highly.

D&J Contracting is a fantastic vendor. I manage a very large portfolio of retail stores and they are in my top 1% of all vendors. I give them my MOST enthusiastic recommendation. They care, they provide the best quality and customer service out there. Always go above and beyond and even take on special projects that are outside their main scope of work when I'm in a pinch. No job is too big or too small for them!

Nothings but professionalism, everything done as requested and on time.
My project involved multiple services and pulling permits and I had several quotes and most companies don’t offer multiple services or don’t pull permits and you have to do it yourself.
D & J is the only company who takes care of city permits and takes care of all the services you need from start to finish. They also update you on everything, keep you in a loop and confirms everything with you.
In our specific case we needed a curb cut, driveway leveled and parking lot sealed and coated so low sports vehicles can safely pull in without scraping the bottom and D & J did it so well you can pull in even on skateboard now.
Highly recommend D & J, top quality, smooth process.

D&J was one of several companies I contacted for a quote to pave my 100’ driveway in May/June of 2021. They delivered a competitive quote, and I was further impressed by their professionalism and quick correspondence. After I hired D&J for the job, they came out to my residence within two weeks and paved my driveway in a single day. The driveway looks fantastic! The crew who paved it was friendly and quick-working, and the driveway is perfectly flat and slopes toward the road so there is no significant puddling (the attached photo is moments after a hard rain). It has been about four months since installation, and the driveway still looks impeccable. I was also contacted by D&J after the work was completed to ensure I was completely satisfied. I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with several subpar contractors in the construction industry in the recent past—but D&J is an exception to the rule. They were competitive, responsive, professional, and focused on quality and customer satisfaction. I was left very impressed. I have some future site work planned for my property, and I will absolutely be contacting D&J again.

Roseville Permits & Codes Handled For You

We handle the permit work before the first storm so your team does not have to chase paperwork during active weather. For Roseville properties, we work with the Building Department for any Dumpster or right of way permit and coordinate with MissDig before any excavation tied to snow storage, drainage checks, or site prep. That keeps the site legal, reduces delays, and takes the regulatory burden off the property manager while we focus on clearing access and keeping the lot usable.

Frequently Asked Questions about Snow Removal in Roseville

When should we schedule winter service?

Book before the first hard freeze, while lots are still dry and easy to inspect. That gives us time to set plow paths, stack areas, and salt access without paying for rushed setup later.

How do you keep our business open during the project?

We clear in phases so one lane, entrance, or dock stays usable while we work the rest of the site. On active commercial properties in Roseville, that keeps traffic moving and cuts down on lost sales or delivery delays.

How do you prevent winter weather damage?

We control where snow gets pushed, keep meltwater moving off the pavement, and treat ice before it builds at curb lines and entrances. That reduces freeze-thaw damage, edge breakup, and spring repairs that cost more than planned maintenance.
