Commercial Properties We Service in Armada Township

We build concrete for commercial sites in Armada Township that need the slab, curb, or walkway to handle traffic, drainage, and code requirements without becoming a maintenance problem.

  • Retail Centers & Plazas, where ADA access, entry pads, and curb returns have to stay level under carts, foot traffic, and snow storage.
  • Industrial Parks & Warehouses, where dock aprons and loading areas need the thickness and subgrade support to take repeated truck loads without edge failure.
  • HOAs & Multi-Family Complexes, where sidewalks, common-area slabs, and drive lanes need clean drainage and stable joints to reduce trip hazards and repair calls.
  • Municipal & Institutional Facilities, where public-use concrete has to hold up under steady use, meet layout requirements, and keep access safe at entries, walks, and service areas.

Built for Michigan Weather: Our Armada Township Concrete Contractor Standards

Our Concrete Contractor holds up longer in Armada Township because we do the work in the right order and do not skip the parts that fail first. We shape drainage so water moves away from the slab, rebuild the sub-base until it carries load evenly, and place concrete that can handle Michigan freeze-thaw cycles without breaking down at the edges. That approach protects property managers from early patch jobs, trip hazards, and repeat settlement repairs that cost more than doing the prep correctly the first time.

  • Drainage first: We set slope and edge conditions so meltwater and rain do not sit against the slab and work into joints.
  • Base support: We correct weak sub-base areas before placement so the concrete sits on firm ground instead of pumping or settling later.
  • Cold-weather durability: We use placement methods suited for freeze-thaw exposure, which helps reduce spalling, cracking, and early replacement costs.

Common Concrete Contractor Projects We Handle in Armada Township

  • Retail pads near the Romeo Plank corridor usually need broken walks, settled curb returns, and entrance slabs corrected after plow damage and repeated thaw cycles. We cut back to sound concrete, check the base for pumping, rebuild soft spots, then reset slope and joints so water leaves the storefront instead of freezing at the threshold.
  • Industrial sites in Armada Township often call for dock aprons, machine pads, and loading areas that have started to crack under truck traffic. We remove failed sections, verify subgrade support, place reinforcement where the load path needs it, and finish the repair so forklifts and trailers stop working against a weak edge.
  • Property managers also ask for ADA fixes on sidewalks, ramps, and entry landings where settlement has created trip points or out-of-spec transitions. We regrade the approach, correct cross-slope, tie cleanly into existing concrete where conditions allow, and keep the walking path usable without creating a bigger liability at the door.

In-House Crews & Equipment for Armada Township Projects

Every concrete project we take on in Armada Township stays with our own W2 crew from layout through cleanup, and we run company-owned equipment so the same people who set the forms also control the base, placement, finish, and closeout. We do not hand work off to subcontractors, which keeps scheduling tight for property managers, keeps quality checks in one chain of command, and leaves no question about who owns the slab if a field issue needs to be corrected later.

Trusted Concrete Reviews on Armada Township Roads

We have earned repeat calls in Armada Township by doing the concrete work the same way every time, starting with base support, drainage, joint layout, and clean closeout before the slab ever sees traffic. Read the reviews below to see how that approach holds up on active sites from North Avenue to Romeo Plank.

D&J did a great job on our facility parking lot when we were in need of some asphalt catch basin repairs. They were professional, accommodating to our traffic needs, quick and thorough with the repairs, and back promptly after a week to retrieve their barriers. Their quote process was easy, and their pricing was incredibly reasonable for the work done. We are very pleased with D&J and recommend them highly.

D&J Contracting is a fantastic vendor. I manage a very large portfolio of retail stores and they are in my top 1% of all vendors. I give them my MOST enthusiastic recommendation. They care, they provide the best quality and customer service out there. Always go above and beyond and even take on special projects that are outside their main scope of work when I'm in a pinch. No job is too big or too small for them!

Nothings but professionalism, everything done as requested and on time.
My project involved multiple services and pulling permits and I had several quotes and most companies don’t offer multiple services or don’t pull permits and you have to do it yourself.
D & J is the only company who takes care of city permits and takes care of all the services you need from start to finish. They also update you on everything, keep you in a loop and confirms everything with you.
In our specific case we needed a curb cut, driveway leveled and parking lot sealed and coated so low sports vehicles can safely pull in without scraping the bottom and D & J did it so well you can pull in even on skateboard now.
Highly recommend D & J, top quality, smooth process.

D&J was one of several companies I contacted for a quote to pave my 100’ driveway in May/June of 2021. They delivered a competitive quote, and I was further impressed by their professionalism and quick correspondence. After I hired D&J for the job, they came out to my residence within two weeks and paved my driveway in a single day. The driveway looks fantastic! The crew who paved it was friendly and quick-working, and the driveway is perfectly flat and slopes toward the road so there is no significant puddling (the attached photo is moments after a hard rain). It has been about four months since installation, and the driveway still looks impeccable. I was also contacted by D&J after the work was completed to ensure I was completely satisfied. I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with several subpar contractors in the construction industry in the recent past—but D&J is an exception to the rule. They were competitive, responsive, professional, and focused on quality and customer satisfaction. I was left very impressed. I have some future site work planned for my property, and I will absolutely be contacting D&J again.

Armada Township Permits & Codes Handled For You

Our team handles the paperwork with the Armada Township Building Department, pulls the required Dumpster and ROW permits, and coordinates Miss Dig 811 locates before excavation starts. Frequently Asked Questions about Concrete Contractor in Armada Township

When should we schedule concrete work?

Spring through early fall gives us the best window because the slab cures cleaner and the subgrade stays workable. In Armada Township, that usually means fewer weather delays and less money spent on cold protection or extra site cleanup.

How do you keep our business open during the project?

We phase the work so access stays open where it needs to, and we set clear cutover points before demolition starts. That keeps tenants, deliveries, and foot traffic moving while we replace only the sections that need attention.

How do you prevent winter weather damage?

We start with drainage and joint control so meltwater does not sit on the slab or work into weak spots. Once water gets under concrete and freezes, the damage spreads fast, so early repair costs less than waiting for spring failure.
