The Complexities and Importance of Snow Plowing Services

Take the instance of a busy retail center during the holiday season. With constant snowfall, customers found themselves navigating precarious parking lots and sidewalks. Proactive management, aware of the safety risks and potential loss in customer footfall, decided to hire professional snow plowing services.
The transformation was immediate. The parking lot, previously nearly impassable, was now clear and safe. Customers could comfortably access the center. Sales improved again as a reflection of the improved customer experience. This story reflects what most businesses in Grosse Pointe Woods experience when they approach D&J Contracting for snow plowing— clear premises, satisfied customers, and uninterrupted business.

About Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan
While initially settled over a century ago, much of the city in its current form was built in the middle of the 20th century, particularly around and just after World War II, distinguishing Grosse Pointe Woods from older portions of Grosse Pointe.
The city was originally incorporated as the Village of Lochmoor in 1927 from the last unincorporated portion of Grosse Pointe Township. The village annexed the Stanhope-Allard strip of land from what was then Gratiot Township in 1931. The village changed its name from Lochmoor to Grosse Pointe Woods in 1939, but didn’t incorporate as a city until 1950.
