According to the United States Census Bureau, the Township has a total area of 34.4 square miles (89 km), all land. The township’s master plan shows that it consists mostly of agricultural and residential land. At the 2000 census there were 3,340 people, 1,106 households, and 944 families in the township. The population density was 97.2 inhabitants per square mile (37.5/km).
