About Snow Plowing

Introduction

When the bracing wind blows in Chesterfield Shores and the city illuminates under the blanket of white, commercial properties, both big and small, understand the critical necessity for efficient snow plowing. As picturesque as the winters here can be, the heavy snowfall often brings with it quite a set of challenges, especially for businesses across the city. But with the help of a trusted snow plowing service like D&J Contracting, commercial properties can weather the snowy season without a hitch. Through the scope of this extensive guide, we will dive headfirst into the comprehensive world of snow plowing for commercial properties and the multiple benefits embedded in this essential service.

The Process of Snow Plowing

When snowfall starts to accumulate, the first step is to call a reliable snow plowing-service provider, ideally one that’s near your property. Businesses located within or around Chesterfield Shores can consider D&J Contracting, a local snow plow service working diligently to clear snow from commercial pathways, parking lots, and more. Their detailed process involves evaluating the property, creating a snow removal plan, and finally, getting to work with the necessary machinery.

On arrival, the crew assesses the property to understand the intricacies of the landscape. For instance, a paved area would need different care compared to an unpaved one. Once a plan is in place, advanced plowing machinery moves snow to a designated area within the property, generally away from high-traffic areas. This streamlined process ensures business operations continue uninterrupted even during a snowstorm.

Benefits of Snow Plowing

At the outset, snow plowing assures safe and easy access to the commercial property. With regularly cleared walkways and parking areas, your clients, customers, and employees can navigate through the property with confidence, ensuring business as usual, regardless of the weather conditions. The significance and benefits of professional snow plowing, however, extend much further.

A workplace free from snow-related hazards reduces the risk of injury and the associated liability claims, which can be burdensome to any business. By employing a service from professionals like D&J Contracting that understand the city’s snow patterns, you ensure efficient snow removal, saving you costly damages to your property or equipment. Moreover, a cleanly plowed exterior also goes a long way in enhancing the property’s aesthetic appeal and reputation.

Real-world Application of Snow Plowing

In a city like Chesterfield Shores, where weather conditions can be intense, snow plowing is a necessity more than anything. Consider this scenario – a popular retail store with a sizeable parking lot experiences heavy snowfall obstructing the business’s normal functioning. In such a situation, a snow plowing service manages to keep the business afloat by ensuring that the parking lot is clear and safe for customers to use.

Or take, for example, the case of office buildings. Most employees drive to work, meaning a snow-plowed parking lot is essential for maintaining work schedules. Not to mention, a well-maintained complex improves employee satisfaction, directly impacting productivity. Thus, a fast and efficient snow plowing service near your business can be a game-changer.

Why Choosing D&J Contracting Makes Sense

D&J Contracting stands out amongst various snow plowing services for their dedication to making businesses safe and accessible during winter. From mom-and-pop stores to corporate office buildings, their commitment to keeping Chesterfield Shores up and running amid snowstorms is impressive.

More than just a snow plowing company, D&J proves time and again that their customer-first approach, deep understanding of Chesterfield’s weather patterns, and consistent delivery of quality service is the ideal choice for commercial property owners in this snowy city.

Ideally, begin preparing in fall, connect with snow plowing services near your commercial property, and ensure your business is ready to breeze through the winter. Remember, the impression your property makes on visitors and employees plays a significant role in your business’s overall appeal and success.

About Chesterfield Shores, Michigan

Chesterfield Township was originally established as a general law township in 1842. It became a charter township in 1989.

The original European-American settlement in the area was a hamlet called Chesterfield, first settled in 1830. When the Grand Trunk Railway came through in 1865, it stimulated the development of businesses in the hamlet. It had a post office from 1875 until 1907, but has since lost its specific identity.

Chesterfield Township is in eastern Macomb County and is bordered on the north by Lenox Township and the village of New Haven; on the east by Ira Township in St. Clair County, and by the village of New Baltimore; on the southeast by Anchor Bay, which is a part of Lake St. Clair; on the south by Harrison Township; and on the west by Macomb Township.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 30.6 square miles (79 km), of which 27.6 square miles (71 km) are land and 3.0 square miles (7.8 km), or 9.85%, are water.

Much of Chesterfield Township is dominated by suburban subdivisions and shopping developments; its population is increasingly diverse, reflecting area demographic changes. In 2010 some 89% of the population identified as non-Hispanic whites; in the late 20th century, the largely rural township had an even higher percentage of whites. Anchor Bay influences the southeastern part of the community, where many pleasure boats, docks, and marine-related businesses can be found.

There are nine unincorporated communities in the township and no incorporated villages:

  • Anchor Bay Gardens is located off Jefferson Avenue at Sunrise Street and Jans Drive (42°38′34″N 82°48′45″W / 42.64278°N 82.81250°W / 42.64278; -82.81250; Elevation: 571 ft./174 m.).

The first post office in the township was established here in 1837 in the house of Robert O. Milton, with the name of “New Haven Post Office”. When this was moved to New Haven, Alfred D. Rice established another post office in Milton. That post office closed at some point, and another was opened in January 1856, with Edmund Matthews as postmaster. This office operated until July 1904. Milton was home to a school, three churches, a doctor, a blacksmith, and a couple of saloons. The last saloon survived until 2004, when it was torn down, at that time it was known as the “Teddy Bear Bar.” The school, known as Milton School, was incorporated into another building, which was torn down in 2002.
