About Asphalt Paving

Introduction to Asphalt Paving

Welcome to our comprehensive guide about asphalt paving, an essential aspect of the construction industry and a topic relevant for both business owners looking to refurbish their commercial properties and homeowners aiming to upgrade their driveways. Our focus remains primarily on answering your questions about asphalt paving, no matter where you are located. So, if you’re wondering about asphalt paving companies near you, or curious to learn more about the process and benefits of asphalt paving, you’re in the right place.

The Asphalt Paving Process

With a clear understanding of the asphalt paving process, you’ll be able to make better-informed decisions when partnering with your chosen asphalt paving contractors. It’s also an excellent way to assess the quality of potential contractors, enabling you to pick top providers like residential asphalt paving contractors, for instance.

The process begins with site preparation, which requires clearing and grading the installation area. Next, a robust and resilient base layer is laid to ensure stability. Following this, the asphalt mixture is applied, rolled, and compacted in two layers – the base and the top. Every step is crucial as it determines the longevity and durability of the paved area.

Merits of Asphalt Paving

Now let’s delve into the array of benefits that asphalt paving comes with. These advantages make it a popular choice among home and business owners striving for durability, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness.

Firstly, asphalt paving is remarkably durable. It’s designed to withstand the heavy traffic and harsh weather conditions typical of commercial areas. Plus, if properly maintained, asphalt paving can last up to 20 years or more.

Secondly, asphalt paving services offer an aesthetically appealing finish, enhancing the appearance of commercial properties. The smooth, black finish gives a sleek and professional look that significantly boosts the curb appeal.

More so, the cost-effectiveness of asphalt paving is astounding. When considering the asphalt paving cost per sq ft, it’s considered one of the most economical paving solutions available. Besides the initial installation, the maintenance cost is also relatively low, making it an appealing choice for most businesses.

Picking The Right Asphalt Paving Contractors

Selecting the right paving company plays a significant role in the outcome of your project. Always opt for quality asphalt paving contractors who come with experience, good reviews, and a solid reputation in the industry. Besides their workmanship, check if they’re using high-grade materials in their services. We recommend considering local asphalt paving companies, which allows for easier recourse should any issues arise after installation.

Local Optimization Importance

For businesses venturing into the digital space, it’s worth noting the significance of localized optimization when researching ‘asphalt paving near me.’ This includes ensuring your company comes up in results when potential customers are looking for paving services in your specific city or region. This way, you enhance your visibility to those needing your services nearby.

Practical Tips

As a practical tip, always insist on a clearly structured contract with your paving contractor. This contract should detail all the work to be performed, the overall cost, the estimated timeline, and any extra services they’ll provide. This step ensures clarity and avoids any misunderstandings or disputes later on. Also, ensure you have a proper drainage plan in place before paving, as water can impair the lifespan and performance of asphalt.

Conclusion

At first glance, asphalt paving might appear daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. With the right processes, materials, and workmanship, asphalt paving can add significant value to your commercial or residential property. We hope this guide has provided you with a comprehensive insight into the world of asphalt paving. For its durability, aesthetic appeal, and cost-effectiveness, asphalt paving is indeed a smart, long-term investment.

If you’re considering asphalt paving, never hesitate to reach out to reputable asphalt paving contractors in your area for a consultation. We’re confident that they will provide high-quality asphalt paving to meet your specific needs and more.

About Lottivue, Michigan

History

Chesterfield Township was originally established as a general law township in 1842. It became a charter township in 1989.

The original European-American settlement in the area was a hamlet called Chesterfield, first settled in 1830. When the Grand Trunk Railway came through in 1865, it stimulated the development of businesses in the hamlet. It had a post office from 1875 until 1907, but has since lost its specific identity.

Geography

Chesterfield Township is in eastern Macomb County and is bordered on the north by Lenox Township and the village of New Haven; on the east by Ira Township in St. Clair County, and by the village of New Baltimore; on the southeast by Anchor Bay, which is a part of Lake St. Clair; on the south by Harrison Township; and on the west by Macomb Township.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 30.6 square miles (79 km), of which 27.6 square miles (71 km2) are land and 3.0 square miles (7.8 km), or 9.85%, are water.

Much of Chesterfield Township is dominated by suburban subdivisions and shopping developments; its population is increasingly diverse, reflecting area demographic changes. In 2010 some 89% of the population identified as non-Hispanic whites; in the late 20th century, the largely rural township had an even higher percentage of whites. Anchor Bay influences the southeastern part of the community, where many pleasure boats, docks, and marine-related businesses can be found.

Communities

There are nine unincorporated communities in the township and no incorporated villages:

The first post office in the township was established here in 1837 in the house of Robert O. Milton, with the name of “New Haven Post Office”. When this was moved to New Haven, Alfred D. Rice established another post office in Milton. That post office closed at some point, and another was opened in January 1856, with Edmund Matthews as postmaster. This office operated until July 1904. Milton was home to a school, three churches, a doctor, a blacksmith, and a couple of saloons. The last saloon survived until 2004, when it was torn down, at that time it was known as the “Teddy Bear Bar.” The school, known as Milton School, was incorporated into another building, which was torn down in 2002.
