When the winter arrives in Broad Acres, the city transforms into a picturesque wonderland. But with this idyllic view comes the challenge of combating the substantial snowfall. Maintaining accessibility for commercial properties becomes a top priority. This is where a reliable snow plowing contractor assumes a vital role. These experienced professionals, well-versed with the Broad Acres winter and snow management, provide prompt and efficient services, ensuring that businesses continue to function efficiently, even in harsh weather conditions.

Choosing the right snow plowing contractor is crucial. A solid choice can keep your property safe, reduce liabilities, and create a hassle-free winter for you. Today, we delve deeper into the world of snow plowing. We will discover the process, understand the benefits, and explore the real-world applications of these services in Broad Acres.

The Process of Snow Plowing

The method of snow removal varies depending on the size, layout, and specific requirements of your commercial property. However, in general, the process by a licensed snow plowing contractor follows several key steps. It begins with an initial assessment which includes a walkthrough of the property, identifying areas like speed bumps, fire hydrants, and parked cars that may cause difficulties during snow plowing.

A strategic snow management plan is then developed. It includes strategies for plowing, equipment usage, and decisions about where to relocate the snow, ensuring minimal disruption to the operations of the business. The contractor will then deploy the most suitable equipment for your situation. This can range from simple snow plows to more complex machinery like payloaders or skid steers.

Benefits of Hiring a Snow Plowing Contractor

Hiring a snow plowing contractor for businesses presents several advantages. The most significant is timely and efficient snow removal. Contractors have professional-grade equipment and skilled teams that can manage the snow quickly and efficiently, ensuring your business continues to run smoothly.

Beyond operational benefits, hiring a contractor can be a strategic business decision. With a contractor responsible for snow removal, you demonstrate to your customers and staff that their safety is a priority. A clear, open premise in the winter conditions is not just a convenience, but a sign of your commitment to their well-being. Plus, swift and thorough snow removal can protect your property from potential damage, saving you long-term maintenance costs.

About Broad Acres, Michigan

The first settlement on the land that is now Clinton Township was called Gnadenhuetten and was established in 1782 by Rev. David Zeisberger, but closed in 1786. It was organized as “Huron Township” on August 12, 1818, named after what was then known as the Huron River. Because of confusion with another Huron River south of Detroit, on July 17, 1824, the Michigan Territorial Legislature renamed both the township and the river after DeWitt Clinton, the popular governor of New York from 1817 to 1823 who was largely responsible for building the Erie Canal which enabled many settlers to come to Michigan.

Moravian Drive is the township’s oldest road, dating back to the days when Moravian missionaries settled to attempt to convert the local Native Americans.

Clinton Township is in south-central Macomb County. The city of Mount Clemens, the Macomb county seat, is bordered on three sides by the northeast part of the township.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Clinton Township has a total area of 28.37 square miles (73.5 km), of which 28.03 square miles (72.6 km) are land and 0.35 square miles (0.91 km), or 1.22%, are water. The Clinton River, for which the community is named, is formed from three branches within the township. It runs east into Harrison Township, where it flows into Lake St. Clair. The township is home to many parks, notably George George Memorial Park.

There are two unincorporated communities in the township:

  • Broad Acres is located in the southeastern portion on M-3/Gratiot Avenue between 15 Mile and Quinn Roads (42°32′57″N 82°54′08″W / 42.54917°N 82.90222°W / 42.54917; -82.90222; Elevation: 610 ft./186 m.).
  • Cady is located in the southwestern portion at Utica and Moravian Roads (42°33′37″N 82°57′52″W / 42.56028°N 82.96444°W / 42.56028; -82.96444; Elevation: 614 ft./187 m.). It was founded in 1833 by Chauncey G. Cady. Cady served for a time as township supervisor and was also a member of the state legislature. It had a post office from 1864 until 1906.
